Capt Dan Doumani was issued a 100 ton masters with a commercial towing endorsement in 1995. He worked for Tow Boat US Newburyport for 5 years where he gained valuable experience being put in many situations. He has made the round trip from Newburyport, Mass. to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida four times. He is used by UMass Dartmouth as a captain for their research work in the Merrimack river and offshore. He has worked on offshore dragger's and has fished commercial striped bass in the Merrimack river day and night for 20 years. He loves to be offshore whether it is jigging for cod and haddock or chasing Giant Bluefin tuna from Mount Desert Isle. Maine to The Great South Channel off Chatham, Mass.
